Known for his successful collaborations with renowned orchestras and singers, director and choreographer Mark Morris has once again assembled a stellar team for his production of Mozart's arrangement of Handel's opera Acis and Galatea.
Celebrated visual artist and scenic designer Adrianne Lobel, fashion icon and costume designer Isaac Mizrahi, and acclaimed lighting designer Michael Chybowski set the stage for Morris, who directs four vocalists and the dancers of the Mark Morris Dance Group in this epic love story.
Maestro Nicholas McGegan, who has collaborated with Mr. Morris on numerous projects, conducted the Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra and Chorale in the premiere performances in Berkeley and New York. He also conducted the Handel and Haydn Society Period Orchestra and Chorus in the Boston performances.
